Happy New Year! Now, let's talk foodie Chirstmas presents. I got an immersion blender, a popcorn maker, an ice cream maker (soy ice cream tomorrow!), and a couple cookbooks. Among said cookbooks was Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, and I my first recipe out of it tonight: Cookies 'n' Cream Cupcakes. This was supposed to be a variation on chocolate cupcakes, but I did it with vanilla instead. My dad liked the batter and the frosting, but has yet to try a cupcake. My brother said they tasted like pretzels, but his girlfriend said they were really good. Verdict: he's out of his mind.
